When my lifelong wife died unexpectedly, I questioned the future without her.

This individual was so lonely that he only felt comfort when he talked to God. He is trusting in Him and seeking answers in the Bible and from the Holy Spirit as he moves forward in his life. Several verses help to bring clarity to his situation. “So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you” (Jn 16:22). “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” (Mt 5:4). And “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God” (2 Cor 1:3-4).

May you rest well in God’s comfort!

Pastor Michael
